Introducing the "31 Days of Who-lloween" photo challenge!

Brittany over at her personal blog, A Geeky Girl Without A Box, holds a monthly photo challenge. The topic can vary, but it's always fun and interesting to see what everyone comes up with for each day. For October, we've brainstormed a list for what we are calling the "31 Days of Who-lloween".

The premise is simple, each day there is a prompt. You post a picture related to that day's prompt on whatever social media platform you want (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, etc) and use the hashtag #31daysofWholloween You can get your pictures from wherever, and you can join and an play along as much or as little as you like. If you miss a day, you can catch up if you like, or just jump back in. Remember, this is supposed to be fun, so we hope you join in!

*Unless the prompt is specific to a certain part of the Doctor Who universe, you can answer from any part of Doctor Who including the TV series (classic and new), comic books, Big Finish and spin-offs.

Five(ish) Fangirls Episode #14: His name is Phil

This week, the Five(ish) Fangirls have been given Level 7 Access and bring you our discussion of the inaugural season of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD. Season 2 starts in a week, but what did we think of the show's first go-round? Does it fit in well with the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? How does it compare? What would we like to see? (and what are we excited about in terms of what's already been announced?)

Also, news of the week - info on not one but TWO biopics dealing with Walt Disney, The Legend of Korra Book 4 gets a premiere date, Sailor Moon gets a brand new English dub, Iron Man's not getting a 4th movie, and some sad news from the Doctor Who family.

Five(ish) Fangirls Episode #13: The Game Is Afoot!

After being on an unscheduled hiatus for a week (the podcast was just "resting"), the Five(ish) Fangirls are back! And with a vengeance! We have not one, but TWO convention reports from Michelle and Chrissy from Fan Expo Canada and Salt Lake Comic Con, respectively. We have a bumper crop of news from Once Upon a Time, Agents of SHIELD, Guardians of the GalaxyDoctor Who (as well as some non-news regarding "Deep Breath" - eh, it was a slow news day in the UK in some respects). For our main topic, we discuss all things Sherlock Holmes - from the original stories penned by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and their historical significance, to more modern interpretations of the famous detective in BBC's Sherlock and CBS's Elementary. The game is certainly, as they say, afoot!
