Five(ish) Fangirls Episode #47: Mystery Actor Archive

We're doing things a little differently on this week's Five(ish) Fangirls podcast. Instead of planning ahead on what we're talking about, we're leaving it to chance and literally pulling it out a hat! What will happen? Just listen and find out!

Also it's another slow news week as fandoms take a short breather before summer hits, but we do have a few pieces including convention news, and a character confirmation from the folks over at Star Wars. Plus it's a new month and that means a new photo challenge and book for the Traveling the Vortex Book Club.

Five(ish) Fangirls Episode #46: The Darkness Within

Villains become heroes! Heroes become villains! Is a happy ending given or earned? Who is the author? All of this and more is discussed on this week's Five(ish) Fangirls as we cover season 4B of ABC's Once Upon A Time. We rant, we curse, we squee, soapboxes are stepped upon, so be prepared for some intense feels.

Also it's another light news week, with another favorite returning for Heroes Reborn, we can expect more Star Lord on our movie screens, and PBS is bringing back a favorite period drama. Plus we drop a few hints about upcoming plans for the podcast. *wink wink*

Five(ish) Fangirls Episode #45: Closure

Inhumans, alien artifacts, life-and-death situations, with just a hint of peppermint; in other words, just a typical day in the life of Phil Coulson and his crew. Join us this week as we discuss everything that went down in season 2B of Agents of SHIELD, from the MCU tie-ins, character development, and the multiple storylines that convereged into one knock-down-drag-out season finale (apparently the Whedon brothers are cut from the same cloth, oh the FEELS!)

Plus just a little bit of news including an expected yet-slightly-not-how-we-expected announcement from the folks at Lego; the return of a certain consulting detective may be sooner that we thought; and an exciting preview of the Flash/Green Arrow spin-off.

Five(ish) Fangirls Episode #44: My Mom Is #1

It's that time of year to celebrate the moms in our lives, include some of those in our favorite fandoms. Listen as we talk about our "Top 10" favorite fandom moms, who cover a plethora of ages, backgrounds, and stages of motherhood.

In news we have more casting announcements in the MCU (really at this point who ISN'T in the MCU), a potential movie sequal and/or reboot (no script, no director, no idea if it'll ever happen), and lots of official TV show return announcements, and a show cancellation that made most of us really, really, mad.

Five(ish) Fangirls Episode #43: It's All Connected

This week's Five(ish) Fangirls comes with a big old *SPOILER ALERT* attached to it, as we look back at the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) so far and how it's all fed into the newest release, Avengers: Age of Ultron. We hold nothing back, so this is your spoiler warning. We look at how everything is connected, and where we think the MCU goes forward with Ant-Man closing out Phase 2 and the films that will encompase Phase 3.

Plus we have news, as the Doctor Who extended media universe expands in both book and audio form, the passing of an award winning cinemetographer, the birth of a real-life princess, and the choices for both May and June in the Traveling the Vortex Book Club.
